Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Flipage collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you use our mobile app, website, and related services.

Flipage is operated by Adritica BCN SL, Barcelona, Spain.

Contact: info@adritica.es

By using Flipage, you acknowledge that we process personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Key Points

  • You sign in with your email address (using a one-time code) or with your Google account.
  • Videos and images you choose are uploaded to our servers so we can extract frames, apply styles, and create exports.
  • Some styles are created by third-party AI image-generation providers, which receive the images needed to apply the style you choose.
  • We keep your account, content, and credit history until you ask us to delete them. See Data Retention and Account Deletion.
  • Credit purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive your card details.
  • We do not sell your personal data or your content, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

1. What Flipage Does

Flipage lets users create digital flipbook-style outputs from uploaded video or image content. The service may include video upload, frame extraction, frame editing, template or style processing, AI-assisted transformations, PDF exports, video exports, sharing, print preparation, notifications, and future print or delivery-related services.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

Account and Authentication Data

This includes your email address, authentication identifiers, login state, session information, and account-related metadata. If you sign in with email, we send a one-time code to your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and the basic account identifiers that Google shares with us.

Uploaded and Generated Content

This includes videos, images, extracted frames, edited frames, titles, thumbnails, generated styled images, PDF exports, video exports, and other content you upload, create, or generate through Flipage.

Uploaded content may include images or videos of people. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process that content.

App, Device, and Technical Data

This may include device type, operating system, app version, language, locale, timezone, identifiers used for app functionality, network diagnostics, crash reports, performance data, logs, security-related events, and app configuration values delivered through Firebase Remote Config.

Push Notification Data

If you allow notifications, we process push notification tokens such as Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens. We use these only to send service-related or permitted notifications.

Usage and Analytics Data

We collect information about how users interact with Flipage, such as screens viewed, features used, processing steps completed, errors, app performance, and other usage events.

Purchase and Credit Data

When you buy credits, the payment is processed by Google Play. We and our purchase-management provider RevenueCat receive transaction details such as the product purchased, the purchase date, a transaction identifier, the store used, and the Flipage account the purchase belongs to.

We keep a record of your credit balance, the credits you buy, the credits used for each generation, and credits returned when a generation fails. We do not receive or store your card number or billing details.

Device Permissions

Flipage asks for the following permissions only when you use the related feature. You can change them at any time in your device settings:

  • Camera: to record a video directly in the app;
  • Photos / media library: to choose videos or images to turn into a flipbook. On supported devices you can give access to selected items only;
  • Notifications: to tell you when processing or an export is finished.

Print and Delivery Interest Data

If you choose "Notify Me" or similar options related to future print and delivery services, we may record your interest in a specific flipbook, template, or size option. This does not create a purchase, print order, shipment, reservation, or payment obligation.

Support and Communications Data

If you contact us, we may collect your message, email address, and any information you choose to provide.

Print Fulfillment Data

If Flipage later offers print orders or delivery services, payment and fulfillment data may be processed by us or by payment, shipping, or fulfillment providers. Additional terms will apply before purchase.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain Flipage;
  • create and manage user accounts;
  • upload, store, process, transform, and export user content;
  • extract frames and generate flipbook outputs;
  • apply selected templates or styles;
  • generate PDF and video exports;
  • enable sharing, downloading, and previewing outputs;
  • send service notifications, including processing and export status updates;
  • record print and delivery interest requests;
  • provide customer support;
  • improve app quality, performance, reliability, and user experience;
  • detect, prevent, and investigate misuse, fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical issues;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • enforce our Terms & Conditions.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

Performance of a Contract

We process data needed to provide Flipage, including account access, uploads, frame processing, generated outputs, exports, and app functionality.

Consent

We may rely on consent for optional features such as push notifications, certain analytics choices, marketing communications, or other features where consent is legally required.

Legitimate Interests

We may process data for legitimate interests such as service improvement, diagnostics, fraud prevention, security, analytics, product development, and support, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Legal Obligations

We may process data where required to comply with applicable laws, legal requests, tax obligations, regulatory requirements, or lawful enforcement requests.

5. AI and Automated Processing

Some Flipage features use AI-assisted or automated processing to transform uploaded content, apply visual styles, generate frames, create previews, or prepare exports.

When you apply an AI style, the images needed for that style are sent to a third-party AI image-generation provider. These providers may be located outside the European Economic Area (see section 8). The provider returns the result to us, and we store it with your project.

We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models, and we do not sell or license your content to others for AI training.

AI-assisted outputs may vary and may not always be accurate, consistent, or suitable for every use. We do not use AI processing to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party providers to operate Flipage:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ireland (EU): backend hosting and storage of uploads, frames, and exports;
  • Supabase: database and email sign-in;
  • Google Sign-In: optional sign-in with your Google account;
  • third-party AI image-generation providers: AI style processing;
  • Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config (Google): usage analytics, crash reports, and app configuration;
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications;
  • RevenueCat: purchase validation and purchase records;
  • Google Play: payment processing;
  • our email delivery provider: sending sign-in codes and support replies.

If print, delivery, or fulfillment services are launched, we will add the relevant providers to this list.

These providers are authorized to process personal data only as needed to provide services to us, subject to appropriate contractual and security obligations.

7. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell your uploaded content.

We may share personal data:

  • with service providers that operate Flipage on our behalf;
  • when you choose to share, export, or download content;
  • when needed to comply with legal obligations or lawful requests;
  • to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Flipage, Adritica BCN SL, or others;
  • as part of a business transfer, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, where permitted by law.

We do not sell personal data as the term "sell" is commonly understood. If our practices change in a way that requires additional notice or opt-out rights under applicable law, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide the required controls.

8. International Data Transfers

Adritica BCN SL is based in Spain. Our backend servers and file storage are hosted by AWS in Ireland (EU).

Some providers, including Google, RevenueCat, and our AI image-generation providers, may process data in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can request a copy of these safeguards, or the current list of providers we use, by contacting us at info@adritica.es.

9. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We do not currently delete uploaded or generated content automatically. We keep the following until you ask us to delete your account:

  • your account and authentication data;
  • videos and images you upload, extracted and edited frames, styled images, and exports stored on our servers;
  • your credit balance and purchase history.

Exports you save to your device stay on your device until you delete them there.

How to Delete Your Account

Flipage does not yet offer an in-app delete option. To delete your account and content, email info@adritica.es from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account".

We will confirm your request and delete your account, uploaded content, and generated content from our servers within one month. Any unused credits are lost when your account is deleted.

After deletion, we may keep limited records where the law requires it or where needed to handle disputes or prevent fraud, such as purchase and transaction records for tax and accounting purposes. Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.

Other Data

Analytics and crash data are kept by Firebase according to its retention settings. Push notification tokens may be refreshed or deactivated when you log out, disable notifications, reinstall the app, or when the token is no longer valid.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data.

These may include the right to:

  • access personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request data portability;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of certain data sharing or targeted advertising where applicable;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

To make a privacy request, contact us at info@adritica.es.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

11. GDPR and EU/EEA Rights

If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with similar privacy laws, you may have rights under applicable data protection law.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Spain, the relevant authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

12. U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with applicable privacy laws, you may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain uses of personal data.

We do not knowingly sell personal data or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising in a way that requires an opt-out unless stated otherwise in an updated notice.

To exercise applicable U.S. privacy rights, contact us at info@adritica.es.

13. Children’s Privacy

Flipage is not intended for children under 13, under 14 in Spain, or under the age required by applicable local law to use online services without parental consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Flipage, contact us at info@adritica.es and we will delete it.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that data transmission or storage will always be fully secure.

15. Your Choices

You can control certain privacy choices through your device, operating system, or app settings, or by contacting us.

These include:

  • turning camera, photo library, and notification permissions on or off in your device settings;
  • choosing selected items only when your device offers limited photo access;
  • changing language or locale settings;
  • deleting exported files from your device;
  • objecting to analytics processing by contacting us;
  • requesting access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, including deleting your account (see section 9).

16. Cookies and Website Technologies

If you visit our website, we may use cookies or similar technologies where needed to operate the site, measure performance, or improve the user experience.

If legally required, we will provide appropriate cookie notices or consent controls.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. The updated Privacy Policy will apply from the effective date shown above or from another date communicated with the update.
